Maria Stratigaki is the Geotechnical Lead and subject matter expert for Sizewell C, acting as Intelligent Client, responsible for managing the geotechnical risks, setting up and endorsing the geotechnical requirements on behalf of the SZC Client and ensuring that requirements are being abided to by the Designers and Contractors. She brings over two decades of experience driving complex infrastructure projects across sectors including highways, railways, nuclear, and urban redevelopment. As a Senior Associate Director at Jacobs, she has acted as geotechnical lead for major projects including NEOM The Line, and HS2 Phase 1, demonstrating expertise in design management, technical governance, and multidisciplinary coordination. Her leadership extends beyond technical delivery, managing key interfaces with commercial and construction partners while ensuring compliance with rigorous project governance, delivering innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions that have set new benchmarks in geotechnical engineering.
