Emma has been working as a Geotechnical Engineer for 12 years after graduating with a Masters in Civil Engineering from Imperial College, London, in 2010. She is chartered with the ICE and a UK Registered Ground Engineering Professional. Emma was drawn to the construction industry as she enjoys problem solving and seeing ideas become a reality. She started her career at CampbellReith, working there for six years, progressing from a Graduate to a Senior Engineer, being fortunate enough to be involved in the UCLH Proton Beam Therapy and Ghana District Hospitals projects, visiting Ghana on several occasions. In 2016 Emma joined CGL where she gained experience in Geotechnical Design and Temporary Works for basements across London and the South East, managing a team of Engineers and working closely with Main Contractors. She moved to RPS in 2018 as a Principal Engineer where she worked on various projects across the UK, carrying out ground investigations and providing geotechnical analysis and design, collaborating with other disciplines within the company. After a brief spell away from CampbellReith she has re-joined the London geotechnical team as an Associate. Emma enjoys working in geotechnics as the ground at two sites is never the same, no two teams are ever the same and no two clients are ever the same – so it keeps you on your toes.
