Dr Andy Moores is Executive Director of Research at CIRIA, leading small team of dedicated researchers. CIRIA is a not-for-profit SME that focuses on the delivery of robust, independent guidance, training, events and tools for the sharing of good practice across the construction and built environment sector. CIRIA focuses its work on the delivery of 5 key outcomes; sustainability, net zero, resilience, productivity and innovation. Before joining CIRIA in 2021 Andy worked for the Environment Agency for 20 years, leading the Flood Risk Research Programme. He has a PhD from Newcastle University, is a Fellow of CIWEM and Chartered Environmentalist and Scientist. Andy holds a number of advisory board positions, for CIWEM, ICE, National Highways, and has advised numerous UKRI led programmes over his career.
