

Geotechnical Engineer with extensive technical background and experience in design and site investigation. Her career started at Imperial College with a PhD in finite element analysis of London Clay slopes stabilised with piles. Freya then moved straight into industry and now has almost a decade of experience: designing basements and foundations for buildings, bridges and railways as well as predicting and monitoring soil structure interaction. She has enjoyed a variety of on-site roles including 6 months as a site engineer building a new railway station and several Resident Engineer roles to support piling works across London. Most recently she has been juggling a growing young family, leading geotechnical projects and supporting the development of sustainable design methods at Robert Bird Group.
